Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about ordering from us
How much freezer space do I need?
A quarter beef requires approximately 4 cubic feet of freezer space, half requires 8 cubic feet, and a whole requires 16 cubic feet. A standard upright or chest freezer works perfectly.
What's the difference between Akaushi Wagyu and regular beef?
Akaushi is a premium Japanese breed known for exceptional marbling, tenderness, and buttery flavor. It's higher in heart-healthy monounsaturated fats and has a melt-in-your-mouth texture that sets it apart from conventional beef.
Can I customize the cuts I receive?
Yes! After placing your deposit, you'll complete a cut sheet to specify steak thickness, ground beef package sizes, and cut preferences. We work directly with our butcher to fulfill your specifications.
How long does the meat last frozen?
Properly wrapped and frozen, beef maintains quality for 12-18 months. Ground beef is best within 6-12 months. We recommend labeling packages with dates.
When can I pick up my order?
We process orders first-come, first-serve. Our next butcher dates start in March 2027. After placing your deposit, we’ll confirm your spot in line and provide a specific pickup date as we get closer to processing your order.
What pickup locations do you offer?
We offer free pickup in Promise, Oregon (at the ranch), Boise, Idaho, and select Utah locations. Specific addresses are provided after order placement.
